Young Goodman brown was a man that always did the right thing, listened to what everyone told me, and was a faithful husband. Until one day he decide to go against himself and went to the woods to see if he could find some excitement or danger. I mean really, who goes to the woods for fun. So there he found a man "the devil" meaning the bad side of himself in the woods. Goodman Brown not listening to his wife or his conscience stayed with his new pal and went roaming around. There they went to a church like place where everyone he knew was there and doing bad things...in a church? That's funny. This targeted his train of thought and when he came back home was everyone the way he saw them that night. It wasn't the devil's fault. He got himself feeling like he couldn't trust no one anymore. But this shows that people who don't listen to themselves or others that care about him will suffer in the long run. They will meet their "devil".

Proofread! This is an academic blog and you should always use academic language...but don't lose the emotion behind your response, that part is great. I love your idea that the devil is really the devil inside. Very clever.
